Pre-treatment Instructions (what to do before your appointment)
- Shave area(s) 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- If this is your first time being treated, leave a small patch for your provider to analyze. (we will shave this before your treatment)
- If you would like to keep areas of hair such as the bikini area, do not shave this hair.
- No makeup/lotion/deodorant on treatment areas the day of your procedure.
- Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 3 days before and 3 days after your treatment.
- No self-tanning products for a minimum of 2 weeks before your treatment to avoid potential complications.
- Avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
- Avoid waxing/threading/tweezing in the area for at least 4 weeks.
Post-treatment Instructions (what to do after your treatment)
- Hair growth varies – Most will experience a level of hairless happiness after 6-9 sessions
- Do not pick/scratch/wax/thread/tweeze the area – anything other than shaving may change the speed you achieve the hair removal results you are trying to achieve.
- Stay out of the sun – Avoid direct sunlight in treated areas if possible to reduce light or dark spots for two months. If you need to be in the sun, be sure to use sunscreen spf25 or higher.
- Exfoliate – over the next 30 days you will be shedding hair in the areas that have been treated. You can help this process by washing with an exfoliating sponge or washcloth.
- No moisturizers or deodorant for at least 24hrs after treatment.
- Bumps and or redness are normal – You may feel like you have a sunburn and may experience redness for 2 – 3 hours after your treatment. If you experience any scabbing, you may need to apply an antibiotic cream (this is rare)
