About our practice

Aesthetics of Central Texas features a highly trained team of doctors and technicians with varied areas of expertise who all work in harmony to produce beautiful outcomes for our patients in and around San Marcos, TX. Each one of our cosmetic experts is qualified to operate our modern collection of technology, including the Harmony XL PRO by Alma. To help you acquire the appearance you desire, our team works to learn about you on an individual level to completely realize your desires and insecurities and form a treatment plan that effectively takes care of them. Every representative of our faculty immensely values the connections they have cultivated with the individuals under their supervision.

Teresa Irwin, MD

Dr. Teresa Irwin is a board-certified physician in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She is among just 1,500 board-certified FPMRS physicians in the country, and the only one between San Antonio, TX and Austin, TX.

Dr. Irwin received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Irwin completed training at Intuitive Surgical, Inc. to be a robotic gynecologic surgeon proctor and trains doctors to use the robotic tools as well. She also served as the pro bono medical director of Hays County’s Women’s Health Program and Family Planning Services for more than a decade.

Richard Laue, MD

Dr Laue is board certified in Family Practice. He  graduated from Mayo Medical School in Rochester MN in 1996, and did his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston TX.  He served active duty in the US Air Force, which brought him to central Texas in 1999.  He has been practicing in San Marcos and New Braunfels since 2003.  He has 3 sons and one granddaughter.  He spends most of his time trying to keep up with his wife, Dr. Teresa Irwin, AKA, “The Vaginacologist,” and her boundless energy.
Dr. Irwin and Dr Laue founded Aesthetics of Central Texas (ACT) in order to provide services and education to men and women in all things health and wellness, with Dr Laue providing a special a focus on men’s sexual health.

Myra Fuentes

Myra is a Medical Assistant at Aesthetics of Central Texas. She is currently in school, completing a graduate program as an advanced practice nurse. When not in the office, Myra enjoys water skiing and skydiving in her free time.

Jaime Herrera – MA

Jaime is a licensed aesthetician with 20-plus years of experience providing expert skincare, body treatments, and permanent cosmetics. She is certified in massage, advanced aesthetics, and sugaring hair removal.
